The sun is shining brightly , it is 56 degrees right now and the temperature is to climb to 79 degrees today. Lovely day to be alive!
My brother in law received his biopsy report yesterday. It is early stage cancer but the doctor says it is treatable with chemo. We appreciate all kind thoughts and prayers! Thank you!
I did get to go garage saling yesterday morning. I found some books @ $1 each. I read so many books that I can’t be sure if I have read one or two of them. All by my favorite authors. My sis keeps a record of everything she reads. I am too lazy to do that.
I hope you all have a nice day! Stay safe and be happy!! Enjoy the wonderful experience of just being alive. God is good!!
Beth
Sorry to hear this report Sis but I will start the prayers for him. Glad it is early and treatable. Looks like quite a bargain in the book dept. Hope you have a wonderful Mother's day. Prayers always.XoXo

Beth, I will continue to pray for your BIL....thank God it caught it early. That's a great idea about your sister keeping track of the books she has read...my gosh, I wish I had done that...although I rarely read abook cover to cover, any more. Adult attention Disorder???? Who knows. Blessings to you Beth on this wonderful Saturday. It's pretty here and warm. xoxo,Susie

ReplyDeleteGreat news for your brother.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mothers day.
You sure keep mark as what books you have read. Nothing like getting inot a book and you find out you read it.
You have time. What are you talking about. Your retired girly.
One of these days I am going to start keeping a record of what I read and what I thought of it...and write in my own words what it is about. Sometimes I read one and two weeks later I can't remember what it was about!
ReplyDeletewonderful news, I have been keeping him in my prayers, I should keep a list too, ll,
ReplyDeleteOccasionally I start a book and then realize I've read it before. Have you ever read Anne Tyler's novels? I think you'd like them. The funniest one is The Accidental Tourist, but her masterpiece is Dinner At The Homesick Restaurant. I also love Ladder of Years and A Patchwork Planet.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Sorry to hear your brother in law has cancer but glad it was caught early enough and will keep him in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteNice bunch of books there for you to read.
I keep a record of all the books I read and have for many years.
Prayers for your BIL. Hope that catching it early makes it easier to treat. You read the same authors as I do! :) Enjoy this beautiful weather, I hear they are calling for rain.
ReplyDeleteIt is a gorgeous day here, too. I'm off to take Fergus for a walk. I think we should meet for lunch next time I'm up. It would be fun.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have some great reading to keep you pleasantly entertained.
ReplyDeleteThis would seem to be good news all around!
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked the wordy post about Arizona.
cheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
Prayers for your brother in law to get well soon from it! You are having a wonderful time in reading plenty of books!
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day toyou . . . enjoy some reading!
ReplyDeleteLooks like the start of a good summer reading pile. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteNot the best of news Beth, but could be worse, let's keep fingers crossed that chemo won't be too debilitating.
ReplyDeleteThese books will keep you busy for a while. it takes me at least a fortnight to get through one.
Who doesn't like cheap books................Tim that's who just saying, hubby isn't a reader...........lol
ReplyDeleteI am very sorry to hear that - now from experience I love it when they early stage, but .... I pray it will all work out for him! Hope you had a nice Mother's Day.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you had a successful visit to the garage sales.
ReplyDeleteGood news about your brother. Oh keep me away from yard sales. I'm sure to buy stuff that I will never need, but I do like them.
ReplyDeleteAhh, books, the very first thing I look out for. I don't keep a record of ones I've read either and often buy duplicates but when they are that cheap it really doesn't matter and you can always pass them on. Best wishes and thoughts to your Brother in Law.
ReplyDeleteGlad they caught it early!!
ReplyDeleteSometimes I wish I had kept a record of what I have read, but I'm getting old enough that I don't remember as well as I used to , anyways, so reading something again is okay--LOL! ;)
