Glorious Saturday and an update….

The sun is shining brightly , it is 56 degrees right now and the temperature is to climb to 79 degrees today.  Lovely day to be alive!

My brother in law received his biopsy report yesterday.  It is early stage cancer but the doctor says it is treatable with chemo.  We appreciate all kind thoughts and prayers!  Thank you!

I did get to go garage saling yesterday morning.  I found some books @ $1 each.  I read so many books that I can’t be sure if I have read one or two of them.  All by my favorite authors.  My sis keeps a record of everything she reads.  I am too lazy to do that.

I hope you all have a nice day!  Stay safe and be happy!!  Enjoy the wonderful experience of just being alive.  God is good!!

Beth

  12. Great news for your brother.

    Happy Mothers day.

You sure keep mark as what books you have read. Nothing like getting inot a book and you find out you read it.

You have time. What are you talking about. Your retired girly.

  13. One of these days I am going to start keeping a record of what I read and what I thought of it...and write in my own words what it is about. Sometimes I read one and two weeks later I can't remember what it was about!

  15. Occasionally I start a book and then realize I've read it before. Have you ever read Anne Tyler's novels? I think you'd like them. The funniest one is The Accidental Tourist, but her masterpiece is Dinner At The Homesick Restaurant. I also love Ladder of Years and A Patchwork Planet.

    Love,
    Janie

  24. Not the best of news Beth, but could be worse, let's keep fingers crossed that chemo won't be too debilitating.
These books will keep you busy for a while. it takes me at least a fortnight to get through one.

  28. Good news about your brother. Oh keep me away from yard sales. I'm sure to buy stuff that I will never need, but I do like them.

  29. Ahh, books, the very first thing I look out for. I don't keep a record of ones I've read either and often buy duplicates but when they are that cheap it really doesn't matter and you can always pass them on. Best wishes and thoughts to your Brother in Law.

  30. Glad they caught it early!!
Sometimes I wish I had kept a record of what I have read, but I'm getting old enough that I don't remember as well as I used to , anyways, so reading something again is okay--LOL! ;)
