Lots of rain…

Flash flood warning  around here as this has been a rainy spring and summer.  We got another heavy rain again last night.  I am not sure of the rain totals but they are above average.  I hope this will not affect the farmers too much.  I noticed on Friday that the corn is all tasseled out  here.

I have been lazy this weekend.  I do need to go to the store after a bit.

Have a peaceful Sunday!  Stay safe and be happy!!

  9. We had some rain, well it was more like a near hurricane for about 20 minutes. I took a video out my bedroom window and posted it last blog. Weather since has been lovely but that's going to change very shortly.
    Enjoy your Sunday Beth.

  15. Beth I'm sorry to hear you were under the weather.
Concerning those silly songs, I did those alone. Who would help you with a thing like that?
As I said to Nancy, I thank you for all your support over the years we've known each other. I am proud to call you my friend.

  16. Hi, Beth...I'll have to call my little brother in your area to see if he has lots of rain as well. He has lots of crops in the field. The picture is lovely.

  17. Thanks for the comment!

Oh..this makes me think of corn detassling. Someone in my family used to be a corn detassler. Probably the hardest job he ever had. He would come home in the afternoons covered in mud and sweat...but he stuck through it for a couple of years as a summer job.

Flash flooding here too..from time to time.

  23. Hi Beth. Sorry I've been missing for so long, but once again "life" got in the way of some free time. Hopefully we're back to stay now. Ship some of that rain up to us - we could use it.

  24. The lakes and channels are very high out here, as well as the rivers. So much rain. Mowing and weeding is constant too. Hug.

  25. We haven't had much rain at all here this summer. It's been HOT but last night we got a few drops which helped to cool the air for a little while.
