Most of you know that I am a St. Louis Cardinal fan and I have been for many years. One of my favorite memories is of my dad sitting in the front yard listening to the Cardinal ball game on his little transistor radio.
I really hated to make mention of the Cardinals winning because I seem to jinx them when I get carried away. So I will just say ‘Go Cards’ and leave it at that.
I just received a call from my oncologists office and my appointment has been changed till late afternoon. I am not very happy about that as I hate a late afternoon appointment. If I would have rescheduled I would have been looking at an appointment several weeks down the road and that just wouldn’t do.
I hope you all have a good week. It is hot and summery here with the temp to reach the upper 80s today.
Stay safe and be happy!
Beth
Oh Sis.. I saw this news on Tv and thought of you right away.. how happy you must be. Really made your day I am sure. I am enjoying the late summer days so much. Winter will be long around here and so every warm day is a blessing. Continuing prayer for your complete recovery.. Angels watching over you always. <3 XOXO
ReplyDelete(i hate late afternoon appts, too!) good luck!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on those late appointments...they seem to drag on and on. Go Cards! My granddaughters and former son-in-law in Mackinaw are BIG cardinal fans. Hope all goes well this afternoon, and that they are on time! Hugs from Texas.
ReplyDeleteBeth, I like the earliest appointments I can get....too far into the day and they are stacked up.Because they over schedule to start with. I liked the memory of your dad. I can remember some time watching baseball with my dad, when Dizzy Dean would announce the plays. Lots of hugs for you. Susie
ReplyDeleteHubby roots for our home team, but is also a Cardinal fan from way back.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with that late appointment!
I seem to jinx my teams too. Sorry the appointment was changed. You're in my thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoy your baseball. My dad would sit on the patio, smoke his pipe, and listen to the Los Angeles Dodgers on the transistor.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Is it this afternoon, Twin?
ReplyDeleteI love me some BRAVES baseball. From GA and have always been a Braves fan even when they are losing and even though they can never seem to quite make it. We are a baseball family and we love October. It brings back the 90's and the first year of the Tomahawk chop and Championships. The Braves are already jinxed. Oh well. I do love your Fall tree! Beautiful! I get warm fuzzies looking at it. Just know that I am praying for you even now.
ReplyDeletei remember your passion for baseball, and that one particular team ;)

Rub the top of your head and spit...then you won't jinz lol. It was nice this morning then the COLD blew in! Wished I had my coat while shopping. Sorry you got a later appointment. You are in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteOh, that tree in your header is just gorgeous!!! God paints some of the most gorgeous colors! Sorry about the late appointment. My Mom always wants her appointments early, too!
ReplyDeleteWell, I will just say Go Cards for your sake! lol My dad loved baseball, too. Especially the world series.
ReplyDeleteI like early morning appts, too, Beth..and always try to schedule them for that time. xo Diana
The tree is beautiful! I haven't been able to see Fall for 15 years. Someday......
ReplyDeleteSorry your appointment was changed. AM is always the better time for me as well.
Beautiful coloured tree.

Hi Beth. I have been catching up on your posts. I am so sorry to hear that you are having to deal with more cancer. I certainly feel for you and for your family. We are currently dealing with my husband's metastasized throat cancer. His throat is good, but it spread to his lungs. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. You have had much more than your fair share.
ReplyDeleteI hate morning appointments. I hope yours went well.
ReplyDeleteI won't mention the Cardinals. I'm lucky I even know it's a baseball team--LOL! ;)
