Cardinals clinch National League Central championship….

Most of you know that I am a St. Louis Cardinal fan and I have been for many years.  One of my favorite memories is of my dad sitting in the front yard listening to the Cardinal ball game on his little transistor radio.

I really hated to make mention of the Cardinals winning because I seem to jinx them when I get carried away.  So I will just say ‘Go Cards’ and leave it at that.

I just received a call from my oncologists office and my appointment has been changed till late afternoon.  I am not very happy about that as I hate a late afternoon appointment.  If I would have rescheduled I would have been looking at an appointment several weeks down the road and that just wouldn’t do.

I hope you all have a good week.  It is hot and summery here with the temp to reach the upper 80s today.

Stay safe and be happy!

Beth

  3. I'm with you on those late appointments...they seem to drag on and on. Go Cards! My granddaughters and former son-in-law in Mackinaw are BIG cardinal fans. Hope all goes well this afternoon, and that they are on time! Hugs from Texas.

  4. Beth, I like the earliest appointments I can get....too far into the day and they are stacked up.Because they over schedule to start with. I liked the memory of your dad. I can remember some time watching baseball with my dad, when Dizzy Dean would announce the plays. Lots of hugs for you. Susie

  7. I'm glad you enjoy your baseball. My dad would sit on the patio, smoke his pipe, and listen to the Los Angeles Dodgers on the transistor.

    Love,

  8. I love me some BRAVES baseball. From GA and have always been a Braves fan even when they are losing and even though they can never seem to quite make it. We are a baseball family and we love October. It brings back the 90's and the first year of the Tomahawk chop and Championships. The Braves are already jinxed. Oh well. I do love your Fall tree! Beautiful! I get warm fuzzies looking at it. Just know that I am praying for you even now.

  16. Hi Beth. I have been catching up on your posts. I am so sorry to hear that you are having to deal with more cancer. I certainly feel for you and for your family. We are currently dealing with my husband's metastasized throat cancer. His throat is good, but it spread to his lungs. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. You have had much more than your fair share.
