It’s finally Friday,
I’m free again.
I’ve got my motor running
For a wild weekend.
It’s finally Friday,
I’m out of control,
Forget the working blues
And let the good times roll.
~ George Jones ~
Well, I am long past the age for a wild weekend but I do still have memories. LOL! And I do love George Jones.
Yesterday I had a nice surprise visit from Jim’s niece Julia and her husband from Florida. They have been going to RV rallies all across the states for the last few months. The one that they are at now is at Henry IL north of Peoria. It was really good to see them. They are not through with the rallies yet and will not be going back to Florida until November. It was really good to see them, did make me miss Julia’s mom Phyllis (Jim’s sister) and my Jim. Phyllis died just a few weeks before Jim.
I have changed the bedding and have the laundry done. I do so miss having a washer and a dryer, plus a garage. Otherwise I am quite content.
Here’s hoping you all have a nicely wild weekend. Stay safe over the holiday.
Beth
I had a wild weekend once. Wild being a relative term. Then there was that time in Ft. Lauderdale. This weekend will not be so wild except that I will be indulging with a cheeseburger. Oh! Slow down you wild child!
ReplyDeleteThis is just great, first time here, you seem to be happy here. Maybe when I get back in the mood of blogging I may join you. You have been such a great friend and so encouraging to boot. I'll come back and pay you another visit and have tea with you. I had bought some white tea and I like it, had heard it is good for us if not better then green, so may be can try that, lol Have a cool week end, we're to have rain today and Sunday but as yet nothing, as the sun is shining. Catch ya later, maybe see good ole George, Love ya! xo Deanie

ReplyDeleteThat was a really nice surprise. Looking forward to some weekend fun but I don't think it will be too wild, lol. Would like it to be a little warmer though. Just a tad, low 70's I think. You have a good one.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful surprise. I've heard those rallies are way fun. Oh I remember washing clothes by hand for two years! You are blessed my friend. Have a great weekend.

I don't know that wild weekends were ever a big part of my life but the thought of a holiday weekend still stirs me, make no mistake! I'm glad you had a nice visit. Have a wonderful holiday my friend.
ReplyDeleteWasher and dryer available, free to a good home. After getting my end of year budget billing statement in this morning's mail I am ready to go completely off the grid. At least I have a power inverter in the truck to run my laptop and recharge my camera batteries.
ReplyDeleteoh no you're not, too old for a wild week-end, I mean. I'll come along!!
ReplyDeleteand glad you had a great time seeing your visitors. I'm still reeling from my long holiday, life is so full sometimes that you have to take a step back and remember to breathe occasionally, lol...and I've been taking great gulps of air!!
Just been pulling up the weeds in the back garden, is that classed a wildness?....maybe, maybe not... ;-)
take care my friend, and have a great rest of the week-end..xx
What a fun time. I love it when friends and relatives come to see me. I have the housework done today instead of tomorrow after church. Moving it back to Saturday and then to Friday. See? I'm a wild child too! Moving cleaning day! :-)
