How to use up your Halloween Candy…

I had 3 trick or treaters between 5 and 7PM last night.  I just found out from my daughter that most of the churches in town had set up tail-gates to give out candy to the costumed children.  I did get to see my great niece.  She was adorable but she is like a little bolt of lightning at 18 months.  This is the best pic I could get of her as she was somersaulting and going non stop all of the time.  To complete her costume she had red glittery shoes but she didn’t stand still long enough for me to get a picture of them.  Smile

  2. Trick or Treat was pretty much the same way here and other parts..either weather or parties took care of them. I bet in another few years not many if ANY will still be going door to door anymore. One more thing of the past.. Have a great week!

  7. Oh my wordddddddddd, you are TOO cruel! Between you and Toodie, I am never going to get rid of this 30 lbs, lol.
It's funny about Halloween. Last year (same house) I had a slew of kids and ran out of goodies. This year I bought a ton and do you know what? I had not even ONE show up. All I can say is thank goodness I didn't buy my favorite candies. What I got is hard enough to pass but not impossible. I was talking to "the fella" and we both remembered the days when people dumped tons of loose popcorn and unwrapped candy into our brown grocery bags and we never thought a thing of it -- and not even one kid got sick from any germs. That good old stale popcorn was great! Man, times have changed. You gave out the good, good chocolate I see. Hmmm, next year I might hop a plane :D

  10. Getting a good picture of kids that age is a chore to be sure. Great recipes you've got there. We didn't get home until today from Africa so we didn't have to think about left over candy! Blessings to you my friend!

  17. We never have any trick or treaters here so no candy thank god. If I had to buy candy for kids. I would be high for days before and after eating it all. Would probably have to go to the store just hours before to replace all that I would eat. Anyway great idea the recipes for using up all the extra candy... Your great neice is just adorable. Hugs Carrie
