and another morning has slipped by. Lost in the midst of laundry etc. To begin with, my front door lock has not been working properly lately. So I had to wait for the maintenance man to come over and fix it. I will not leave my house if I can’t lock the front door. While I was waiting for him to make an appearance I did a couple of loads of laundry. Then after he left I boot skooted it to the pharmacy to pick up the script that they couldn’t fill on Tuesday. Pleasant surprise there, my co-pay on this drug has been lowered to $35 down from $65. Then I high tailed it to Kroger where I picked up the main stuff (bread, milk, etc.) you need to have on hand for a snow storm which is what we have predicted for tonight. Well, maybe not a storm as it is forecast to be only 3 inches. One inch is a snow storm to me. Where my son lives in Chicago is predicted for 6 or more inches. Have I told you all before that I am not a fan of snow?
I made it home just in time to watch Y & R which is not moving along at a fast enough pace to suit me. This is the only soap I watch, in fact to be perfectly honest I am addicted to the nonsense.
I have all Christmas cards and packages ready to mail, either this afternoon or Monday. That is a chore that I am glad to get done. This took me all of yesterday afternoon to accomplish.
I need to get busy with housework and I still have the cookie dough to make. I like to make it a day or two early and refrigerate it as it is easier to handle. I have all ingredients needed to make Chex Mix and I will be glad to see the back of all of those cereal boxes. My kids love that stuff. I don’t eat it as it is way too salty for me. I don’t eat the candy and cookies I make either. If I did I would weigh 10 ton. The goodies are all for giving.
Have a wonderful weekend all of you. Stay safe and be happy. Don’t forget to thank God for this day that you have been given.
Beth
Hi Beth,
ReplyDeleteYour space is looking great and I am playing your songs. In middle of trying to put up some christmas decs here and did you realise I dont like snow either!! and have had to battle it last few days. It seems to be warming up a bit tonight, probably means its going to snow again. Hugs Nita.
I like your page too, pretty. Also got some Christmas music going
ReplyDeleteAnd only have 1 present left to buy.
I really enjoy your space too Beth!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful decorate in here that I am in mood for at present time with listen Christmas song by Tonny Benntt:-)
BUT I don't like snow in my area ONLY look at from inside LOL!
Have a great day,
Michiko
Bread and milk, lol. It's always the same everywhere during snow days, isn't it. Grocery stores are cleaned out of bread and milk. Crazy.
ReplyDeleteBeth, I LOVE your new Christmas page! It is just wonderful; I should have you design mine as I added more stuff to it and now I'm wondering if I tipped the scales a bit too much.
All My Children is my soap, and the only one, too. I've watched it since the first day it ever came on, and addicted is the right word, lol.
I haven't seen Y&R since the original days of Snapper, around '74 I think.
Ok, time for dinner. I just got home from buying all the batteries in Virginia.
XOXOXO
I agree with the others, you space is so pretty. Nice surprise on the copay. You are a busy gal. I don't make much cookies. We don't eat that stuff much and when the come for Christmas Eve my dil brings a big plate full. I watch Days of Our Lives but not what you call addicted. Use to be but not so much now.
ReplyDeleteOh, man, I forgot to get bread and milk and we have a winter weather advisory up for 3-5" of snow over the weekend. That means we'll see nothing or get buried. I'll have to hit Food Lion in the morning or there will be no milk sammiches in the Allen house this weekend!
ReplyDeleteWow,Beth! you are really getting a running start on making goodies! Do you make coated oretzels? That is our weakness for December nibling!
ReplyDeleteGood news about your copay. Your page loks so festive!
You're way ahead of me! We are supposed to 3-6" of the white stuff tonight. Delivering mail tomorrow should prove to be a task.
ReplyDeleteSure does look festive here. I haven't started baking cookies Yet. Maybe you won't get much snow this weekend. I'd like to see flurries.
ReplyDeleteGood to see you've got your stockings hung by the chimney with care...Nice background too.
ReplyDeleteI'm still in the thought process when it comes to baking this year. Not sure if I'm going to do any or not. I've lost too many recipients and I sure don't want it sitting around here.
Hope the snow missed you. It hit us. :(
Love your page Beth so pretty , sounds as though you are very organized . The snow has melted and is now slushy rain. Enjoy your weekend hope you get time for a relaxing day or two. Hugs Sheila.
ReplyDeleteTrying for the 4th time Beth -- love your site- looks great, have left a message on FB just in case this does not print !
ReplyDeleteOh, they talked about some flurries around here and you can feel the underpinnings of snow panic. Why is everyone so surprised and shocked when snow is predicted in the winter? It happens every year. Now if you will excuse me I need to get several gallons of milk...
ReplyDeleteYup, bread and milk will do it---at least for a day around here. We really should get a cow, what with all the milk Max is drinking these days. Hope you can avoid the nasty big snows this winter, but I won't hold my breath on that one. Can't believe Christmas is just around the corner---haven't put up the tree yet, but this weekend we probably will. That'll put me more in the mood! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the word picture of you 'boot scooting' and 'high tailing'. Glad you're not to have a lot of snow. And, yes, I do believe somewhere I got the impression that you don't enjoy it. We were very thankful this morning to just be receiving rain...a couple degrees cooler and it would have been snow.
