Lean on me…

I love this song.
Sometimes in our lives we all have pain
We all have sorrow
But if we are wise
We know that there's always tomorrow
Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on
Please swallow your pride
If I have things you need to borrow
For no one can fill those of your needs
That you don't let show
Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on
If there is a load you have to bear
That you can't carry
I'm right up the road
I'll share your load
If you just call me
So just call on me brother, when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you'd understand
We all need somebody to lean on
Lean on me when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
Till I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on
Lean on me...

  1. Oh, I love it too. I really is so beautifully written and something we all can do for each other. As we blog and chat, we are leaning and helping each of us through the days. Thank you for putting this up.

  8. Lovely song, gives an uplift to the heaviest heart, Beth, thanks for sharing, it amazes me sometimes, the feeling you get from a song, singer and music combine to heal the pain of feeling alone... xPenx

  9. That song was one of my beloved Tumwell's favorites. It has the advantage of not only having lovely words, but also a wonderful melody that can be really belted out in places. A great song.

  15. You're more than welcome for the link, Beth, but go back over there. I THINK it was a particular type of honey. Might be wrong, but worth the check.

  17. That song has a special meaning for me. My daughter, who is brain injured, always raises her arms in prayer when she hears that song and says," I love you Jesus."
