Sounds like an earthquake..

in my house.  The driveway project is finally underway.

003

I will be glad when it is finished.  The noise is tremendous.  No way can I get my car out today so I am stuck inside here.  My daughter is working so I can’t call on her.  Anybody going my way, give me a holler.

It is beautifully sunny right now at 52 degrees, supposed to climb to 70 so I have the furnace turned off.  Next week is to be quite a lot warmer so I may have to turn the air conditioner on again.  And that is Illinois weather, ever changing, ever unpredictable.  Would I live anywhere else, probably not as I am used to it.  Well, maybe if I ever strike it rich.  However, I will not be holding my breath waiting for that.

I think I should probably get busy and do something, anything.  I have a good deal of my Christmas shopping done and I could start wrapping it all

You all stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  1. It's been consistently warm here with even high eighties but again I don't complain because like there you just don't know what the weather will bring. I've seen forty degree differences in temperature in a single day and that is not unusual. I'm with you on being used to it....though admittedly this doesn't stop me from complaining especially during the brutal winters. I haven't even begun to think of Christmas shopping and don't know when I will. Have a great day my friend...I hope the project on your driveway is soon completed.

  2. We have similar weather and I don't think I could live anywhere else either.

Wow, haven't even thought about Christmas shopping. Then all the kids are at the age where all they want is money. I'll keep an open mind on that as I would love to find that right gift for them to open.

Ah, haven't even thought of Xmas [again], but am seriously doing a completely home made Christmas this year. Probably need to start making a plan....

Hope you have a good day of being housebound...and that they finish up the driveway project. I have a real problem with all that noise these days...sigh...

  9. Hello Beth, I don't envy you all these big noisy diggers, and you can't even get away, how awful, I hope it doesn't last too long.
I thought Britain was the only place with variable unpredictable weather, seems I'm wrong. however enjoy it one way or another, and hope you get you presents sorted and remember who's to get what.

  13. You're getting earlier and earlier with the Christmas shopping, it's still three months away... I have to post all my gifts to Australia this year, it's got me thinking I better go to the Post Office to see when I will need to post by to get it there on time for Christmas day...
