Yippee!!

Only 52 days left on the countdown to spring.  The sun is shining brightly this morning and it is 25 degrees,  Mother Nature wasn’t so nice last night as she dumped about an inch of snow.  Now that doesn’t sound like much but the wind was blowing at a good clip and my car is covered this morning.  I need to go to the store so that means cleaning the snow off.  YUCK,  Have I mentioned before, thousands of times, that I don’t like winter.  Especially snow and ice.

The movie (One for the Money)  was really great and was pretty close to the book.  I was disappointed in the casting of grandma Mazur and a couple of the other cast members.  Morelli was perfectly cast as was Stephanie Plum.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7Rqrts4jPM for the movie trailer.

Well, as much as I hate it, I have to clean my car off so that I can go to the store.  I hope you all have a great weekend.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  3. It's technically warmer here than it has been but the wind keeps it feeling plenty wintery...what can you do? I choose to follow the countdown! I need to get out and have my walk for the day though it's a little like walking through a mine field in parts where the ice still stubbornly refuses to go away. Have a great weekend too my friend.

  4. Well, I know I want to see this. Makes me want to read her books again...well, the ones I've read anyways...haven't read them all. Love her books. Seems like the movie does try to have the humor and fast pace that the books have. Looks pretty good!

    Stay warm! Drive carefully! :):)

  5. Oooh! Grandma Mazur is a BIG character---I picture someone like the Mom on Golden Girls (although she has since passed on). She would have been perfect for that role. Still would like to see the movie! Glad you were able to!

  6. Hi Beth,

We have possible snow forecast again, I am (as you might guess) hoping it will bypass us.

Have a great Sunday. Hugs - Nita

  7. That's about what we received too. We have a good samaritan neighbor who surprised us and did the driveway twice now this winter. I think it's the next door neighbor, but we can never catch him at home to ask.

  11. You sure are getting a lot of snow! It was sunshiney today and my younger son even went to the park. I thought it was a bit chilly for that, but if it gets up in the 40's, it's very hard to keep him inside! LOL

  14. Woke up to more snow (or as Sherry calls it "IT" this morning. Yuck.

I want to see the movie and was worried about how they would cast it. I could see Betty White as Grandma Mazur, lol. Hope to get to it this week. Maybe even today. Who knows.
