43 days left…

in the countdown to Spring.  It is pretty out this morning but treacherous as a good part of the northern half of Illinois is enveloped in freezing fog.   I know that several flights out of O’Hare have been cancelled.   It is 28 degrees this morning and very foggy.  When you look outdoors everything is white.  It isn’t snow but the freezing fog.   If I didn’t feel so tired this morning I would be out taking pictures.

I didn’t watch any of the Super Bowl.  I found old reruns of Without a Trace and Bones so in addition to reading a book during commercial breaks I was good to go till bedtime.

There is nothing new to report here.  I hope this week is a good one for us all.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  3. It's pretty cold for us with it thinking about some snow...strangely it's up and down...one day cool the other warmer...good weather to be careful about getting a cold. I didn't watch much of the Super Bowl either...I just don't care. Have a blessed day my friend.

  5. I am getting educated on these blogs....I never even HEARD the term freezing fog, much less seen the likes of it. That is very interesting to me. Thanks for the link to the pictures...beautiful! We have fog, but it's just heavy and damp and causes anyone with asthma to have an asthma attack because it sucks the breathe out of you when you go outside. Yucky....not pretty like yours!

It was chilly to us here again today....so far the high has only been 52, and it's damp, and the wind is blowing, so it feels colder than it is.....Hubby and I went for a walk to the park though....just bundled up. We had a Super Bowl party, so to speak, but my daughte and I were just waiting to see Madonna, who I believe has had plastic surgery....she looks different! I'm glad I don't have to try to please other people with the way I look. I would hate to be an aging actress or singer and have to try to stay young looking, only ending up looking like an alien! lol Have a great day, and be happy we are nobodys to the world....but somebody to someone special!

  6. I like to watch 'Without A Trace'. It sounds like it might look very nice with all the frost on everything although I know the fog can be grim as can the cold that comes with it.

  7. That crystalline fog we had for four days must have moseyed on down your way. We had the sun this morning, but--lo and behold--the freezing fog has returned this afternoon. What a surprise for the weathermen--LOL! ;) Have a great day, Beth!

  8. WOW - would you believe freezing fog is something I've never seen. We've had freezing rain already, but not fog - that I can remember anyway. Bet the trees were pretty.

  9. Good for you! Glad you didn't go out into the icy outside. It's pretty to look at, but not so pretty to walk on. BE CAREFUL! Stay in and stay happy---oh, and happy reading too!
