Just call me…

sweetheart.  This was a new one for me.  When the receptionist called me from the dentist office yesterday to remind me of my appointment she ended the call with ‘thank you sweetheart.’  I wasn’t quick enough on the draw to say ‘you’re welcome sweetheart’ like Nancy suggested I do.

Actually yesterday during my stress test I finally decided that I like Dr. G. after all.  I realize that he has my best interest at heart and that is the most important thing.

I had to stop for a minute and get my clothes out of the dryer.

My daughter stopped by on her way to work this morning and cleaned the snow off my car.  No snow on the ground this morning, just on my car.  The next thing on my agenda is the trip to the dentist.  I will finish this post when I get back.

**************************************************************************************

I am home from the dentist with my teeth cleaned and x-rays taken.  All is well with that part of my life.  Since the dentist’s office is directly across the street from Kroger of course you know I had to go to the store where I bought a couple of necessary things plus a cherry pie and ice cream which were totally unnecessary.  I am hoping my daughter will stop by for her lunch hour.  Cherry pie happens to be her favorite.  My favorite pie is lemon meringue or banana cream pie with meringue.  Recipes on my recipe space for all 3 pies.  Stop on by, I am fixing fish sandwiches to go with the pie and ice cream.  You are welcome too RB.

It is a bright sunshiny chilly day on this 41st day on the Countdown to Spring,

All for now.  I hope you are all having a great day.  It is important that you stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  1. I'm glad you decided that you like your doctor after-all. I'm sure he does care and wants only to help. I love Lemon M pie but banana cream is my utmost favorite in the world. I'm not a big fan of cherry pie though so I'll just stop in for a cup of coffee. Take care

  3. I'm so glad your dentist visit went well. Nice of your daughter to scrape the snow off your car for you. What a sweetheart! (LOL!)

I don't mind people calling me honey or sweetheart. Maybe because it has so seldom happened in my life. ;)

Have a nice lunch. Sounds delicious!

  6. Hi Beth

Hope you don't get too much more snow. We are told we may well get more at the weekend, double last time. I am not impressed, I find it hard to keep my footing and I am not going out much, but if it is going on and on, then I will have too.

I am called sweetheart in the supermarket sometimes, but I don't mind too much, if they say it at the end of every sentence, it makes me want to laugh

  8. You have to like your dentist or doctor. I had one dentist who, on my first visit, wanted to pull all my lower teeth and put in implants because I was going to lose them in a year or two. That was 6 years ago. Still got 'em. He was a real "sweetheart". In this case "sweetheart" is used as a euphemism.

  12. And in a few short hours it will be only 40 days left to Spring. Love it! Glad you are feeling better about your doctor, because that is important to your health too.

I love chocolate pie, banana creme pie, cherry pie, lemon merangue, and others, but not particularly mincemeat.

    Have a happy tomorrow. bertieblue

  13. We all went out to a restuarant once and the waitress kept calling my father in law sweet heart and sweetie. I would never even think to call someone who was older than me sweetie! UGH!

  14. Hello dear Beth!
Was happy for your lines on my side.
It was a long time since I touched on my blog.
Hope all is well with you. Although you seem to have received a lot of snow.
Well, now we go forward to the spring, the light begins to return.
But of course you long to bird song and beautiful greenery.
    Take care.
    Wishing you a wonderful week.
    Hugs Ann
