Only 24 days…

left on the Countdown to Spring.  This morning the weather keeps changing from rain to snow and the temperature is stuck at 32 degrees.

At least the days are getting longer.  It is staying daylight until 6 PM now.  We go on daylight savings time on Sunday March 11 when we spring forward an hour.  That means it will be dark again when I get up in the morning.  I really don’t like daylight saving time.  I whine about it every year for all of the good it does me.

I am busy doing laundry and nothing else this morning.  I have been thinking about starting spring cleaning but the calendar says I can’t do that for 24 more days.  Oh shoot!  I am definitely going to ask my daughter to come and help me.

A pic from the internet showing my all time favorite flower, the Pansy.

This is short this morning as I need to go check my laundry.  I hope you all have a good weekend.  Stay safe and be happy!!

  1. I'm with you about Daylight Savings time. I wish they'd just leave it the heck alone but as you also said that doesn't change a thing so we press on. Our weather is similar to yours I think. I love Pansies too though this year we're thinking more of an herb garden of sorts. Have a wonderful Friday and weekend!

  2. I detest DST. I wish they'd pick a danged time and just stick to it! Always something the Gov does to "help" us.

  3. You know what they say about daylight saving, you can't cut the bottom of a piece of linen and tack it on the top and make it a longer piece of linen.
Love the pansies, such cheeky little faces.

with the exception of a few frozen days, this winter has been the mildest in the past 27 years, some days were like spring.

    have a grand weekend.

  6. Hubby and I always say we wish they would leave the time alone...one way or the other....we just get used to one way and they switch it back the other. Like you said, it doesn't do us any good to whine, but it does let out our frustration....and we let it out a good month or more after they change it!

  8. Wow! Only 24 more days until Spring. Can't wait. I too love those sweet little faces on the Pansies. :)

An old saying comes to mind, "Why wait til spring when you can do it now." Then when the nice days get here you can be outdoors enjoying Spring Flowers, and such. :) Just a thought.
    Have a great weekend Beth.
    Hugs, Dianne :)

  10. I never pay attention to daylight savings time. I have a screwy schedule. I can start work anywhere from 6 a.m. to midnight (for inventory) Such is a life in retail.

  12. I have never understood why we even have daylight savings time.
I did laundry yesterday. Blizzards up here. Doesn't look like spring at all and I am glad to see the snow. Just wish it wouldn't come all at once, but I love it! Finally looks like winter up here! :)
