After sleeping with the thing for the past 13 nights I had such a surprise when I looked in the mirror this morning. Instead of seeing my dear mother’s face I saw a beautiful princess. She had lovely green eyes, dark brown hair and no bags under her eyes. She was a sight to behold, and I thought hooray, Murphy has left me and I had a wonderful night’s sleep and I am finally used to the ‘thing.’
GOTCHA!! And
The fact of the matter is, I saw my mom’s face in the mirror this morning. My eyes are still green but puffy from restless sleep and I think my dark brown hair turned silver when I was in my 40s. Ask my sister Rae as she remembers things better than I do.
I have so many things I want to accomplish today so I best get started. I will visit with you all later.
Beth

Darn! I was hoping you'd be sleeping like a baby by now...a baby in a mask, but a baby. ;)
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!!
Oh well - you escaped reality for a few seconds anyway.
ReplyDeleteYou got me! LOL I thought, "huh?" and reread it. I wish it were true for you. Oh well.Enjoy this Palm Sunday. Beach Gal Bertie
ReplyDeleteOh silly girl you had me chuckling here. I hope those nasty storms ignored you. Enjoy your day you hear?
ReplyDeleteMirrors are awful things at times. Sounded good there for a second, lol.
ReplyDeleteOne good thing about our eyes getting worse as we age is that when we look in the mirror we can't see the wrinkles as well. : )
ReplyDeleteHope you accomplished what you wanted to today.
Hi Beth
ReplyDeleteLol, have a good week -
Hugs Nita
I got quite a jolt last night looking into the camera on the iPad, Scared me to death! I thought it was th troll under the bridge.
ReplyDeleteA pretty troll I bet though!!
DeleteOh, I was so excited to hear that the mask was working! (insert sad face here!) I'm supposed to make my sleep study appointment this week. I'm scared to find out that I will qualify, especially after hearing about your struggles. Oh dear. Please get used to that thing and get some sleep!
ReplyDeleteI am getting used to it and I am sleeping of a sort.
ReplyDeleteWe all have our dreams now...awake or sleeping right? I've slept better lately for some reason but I don't think any amount of sleep will make me look like when I was in my twenties at this point! Hang in there my friend!
ReplyDeleteSometimes I look in the mirror and I hardly recognize myself! Hope you get some rest soon Beth.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Joanne
HEHE you're too funny!
