I am too P**ped to to pop. http://usads.ms11.net/shanehill.html answer # 9 at this link. In plain English, I am worn out.
I was up this morning at 6 AM. I picked up my daughter shortly after 7 and we went to Menards and Walmart where I purchased a new shower curtain and bubbly mat for the tub. Then back home where we had tea and a doughnut that was decorated so prettily with white frosting and sprinkled with red white and blue sugar. Dontcha just love the 4th of July?? I do!! I LOVE America with all of its faults! And what could be nicer than a doughnut with red white and blue sprinkles. I tell you, it just doesn’t get any better than that.
Then, getting down to business. We, mostly my daughter climbing around, cleaned the bathroom, walls and all and put up the new shower curtain. Then we moved everything out of the utility room which was no small chore. My daughter proceeded to clean the walls in there and mop the floor. She helped me unpack a couple of plastic tubs that I had never unpacked from when I moved here 2 years ago. I found 4 small photo albums that I need to go through and get the pics on the computer. We ended up with 3 boxes and 2 sacks full of stuff for Goodwill.
After dropping the stuff off at Goodwill we stopped at one of the McDonalds which was next door. Turns out we should have gone to the other Mickey Ds which is closer to my house. There must have been 50 or so middle school age kids from a church group that were being treated to a lunch there. It was a problem ordering our lunch because of all of the noise. Don’t kids that age make a lot of noise? I don’t mind the noise. Those were happy kids. I repeat again, I LOVE America! Better those kids be involved with a church group than out wandering around getting into trouble.
So that has been my day so far. I still have quite a bit of stuff to put away and Y&R has been recorded for me to watch later. Actually it has been a really good day for me.
Stay safe and be happy!!
Beth
Hi Beth you have been a busy little Bee , I feel all pooped out just reading this. Bet it was good to see your daughter, two pairs of hands are better than one. Have a restful evening you deserve it.
ReplyDeleteHugs Sheila and Wile-e xx
You have been busy today. What a nice daughter you have to do all that work with you. : ) I can't imagine my daughter doing any of that with me!!
ReplyDeleteWow, you have had a really busy day. Sounds like you have accomplished a lot. I so agree with you about this nation! I LOVE America! Sure, it has problems, but is still the best country in the world! So great that your daughter lives close and can help you with projects. You must have a great relationship! Thanks for this post.
ReplyDeleteEven 50 church-going good kids make a lot of noise....even if they are trying to be relatively quiet! 50 of anything is noisy....even 50 seniors on a tour bus trying to order at McD's....not a quiet, relaxed lunch for any age. lol
ReplyDeleteYou must have the best of all daughters for her to come and help move everything in your utility room and clean. You are very blessed. I know, because as much as I love my mother, and I live right here in the same town, I have never done anything like that for her. I am ashamed.
So nice to hear that your daughter is helping you and being with you a lot. I hope you have a great rest of the week.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it a wonderful feeling to get projects like that done? My daughter helps me when she is here, but she lives in Minnesota, so won't be here again until Sept.
ReplyDeleteWish I had a doughnut right now. My husband is opposed to anything sweet. So I don't bring much home. But I have fun when out with a friend.:0)
Have a good rest of the week too. BGB
Don't you just love a productive day? I've got my son home and we got a ton of outside stuff done today. Rela tonight...you've earned it!
ReplyDeleteBlessings Beth: Sorry for my delay getting here. How are you? I trust all is well.
ReplyDeleteWow sounds like a lot, must feel good to get things accomplished. Yeah daughter, thanks for helping your mom.
stay blessed.

My, my! How ambitious! You have certainly had a full day! Time to put your feet up and enjoy a glass of iced tea or lemonade!
ReplyDeleteNot a bad day here, actually, with several projects accomplished. It is a good feeling to have some chores completed.
You and your family accomplished a lot! That must be a good feeling. :) I hope you are having a good week.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful day you had. I LOVE days like that! Mine was going to the derm and then to the redneck room. xoxox
ReplyDeleteI so agree with you about this nation your daughter lives close and can help with your good all time.
ReplyDeleteI was in the middle of cleaning up at home interupted by my vacation and my injury. I'm doing ok but I'm getting cabin fever so I am going to go out for a spell. The weather is getting better, thankfully, and I need some fresh air.
ReplyDeleteHello Neighbor! It IS nice to meet someone from Illinois. Where are you located at? I am in Evergreen Park, just outside Chicago.
ReplyDeleteYour plants are looking wonderful and I enjoyed hearing about your day, shopping and doing projects with your daughter. Mine is coming by today so we can go out and buy more flowers. I got a late start this year!
Thanks so much for coming by, it was lovely to meet you. You have a wonderful blog!
XO,
Jane

Such a nice day that was. Do you think we'll ever get through all the photos. Kids and noise just seem to go together. Don't you love them. We do have a great country here.
