A little more rain…

yesterday which amounted to about .10 again.  It was raining and by the time I had put my raincoat on and been outdoors for a little while it stopped.  I knew I would scare it away by putting on my raincoat.  We do have more rain expected this afternoon and I am grateful as a little bit of rain is better than nothing.  And it might as well rain today as I have a dental appointment this morning and that takes care of anything else.

I was pretty wiped out yesterday so I didn’t do much.  Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers.  I am still waiting for my doctor report.

And now, sharing another picture from the past.  I love this one.  That is my mother standing on the right and my Aunt Mable on the left.

Take note of the old chair and the carpet.  I feel sure this was taken at a studio.

Might as well be happy you all, and while you are at it, try and stay safe too!!

  1. Wishing you a good report at the dentist, Beth. Also, hope you have some more rain today. We have clouds here this morning.

Missing just ONE meal really messes me up, and being on that clear liquid regimen for an entire day sets me off completely. Hopefully you will begin to feel more like yourself with regular meals.:)

Love old photos. Something about them being black and white and the character in the faces.

  6. Great picture! Back in those days, one DID go to a studio---all dressed up---for pictures! It was a really special thing to do. Love the shoes they wore and the almost smile on your Mom's face. Old pictures like this are so precious! Glad you could get some real rain---we had a few drops the other day, but it didn't last long---ended up with more lightning than anything. Enjoy the rest of the week!

  8. I was looking through some of my mom's old pictures and I wish she would have written who they were on the back of them as I have no clue. The sad part is no one is left who can tell me either. Having a rainy day here as well and kind of gloomy. Try to have a good day after your dentist appointment. I hate dentists lol.

  11. There are only a couple of material things that I cherish more than my old family photographs. They are worth more than gold to me - much more, and I feel your love for these treasures as well.

  21. Ooooh big hug. Hang in there. I'm a softy for people out of sorts. Just relax and stay out of that nasty weather. Although I can only imagine you get antsy to get outside:)

Hey these pics are really cool. They really transport you to another time. You must have some wonderful stories to share about the past growing up. I really wish that some parts of this time still existed today. Beautiful.

  28. Old photos always make me wonder how life really was back then. We're in for some rain for a couple of days. I don't care because I have to work and we do need it. There's a dentist in my future as well. Be well my friend and thank you for sticking by me though I haven't been around much.
