there is a 90% chance of rain for central Illinois today! I am waiting and watching but I see no sign of it yet . I do see cloudy skies to the west of us. We shall see. It is 73 degrees and very humid out now.
Update! I leave the computer for awhile and it is raining very nicely outdoors right now. HOORAY!!
A picture taken in 2005 on October 15 in Champaign IL. Reminding me that fall will soon be here. This has been a LONG HOT SUMMER!

ReplyDeleteOh! I am SO HAPPY you are having that much-needed rain!
ReplyDeleteI believe it will be a few weeks before we have any visible signs of fall's arrival around here. Our high temperatures have been near 90 degrees for the past few days.:(
I hope your Monday begins on a good note!

ReplyDeleteI love Autumn and your leaves are so pretty! Can't wait til this long, hot, dry summer turns to Autumn.

ReplyDeleteGood for you on the rain..we are very dry here. Way to go ton the Word Verification Post..I do not comment on blogs that have it..way to much trouble:(
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got rain..we did, too..about 1/2" and appreciated every drop. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are sooo right...it HAS been a long hot summer..
Ahhh....fall. I can't wait. :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe next summer won't be this bad. Last year was helacious for us, and it's just been bad since August this year, so let's hope for some cooler summers for us all next year!
ReplyDeleteHi Beth. Thank you for visiting my blog and following!
ReplyDeleteI am glad you are getting some rain. We are so thankful for what we have received. Hotter temps are coming back by the end of this week, but Fall is around the corner. It will be nice but I don't want to rush it. Winter will follow and I am sure not ready for that!!
Congrats on finally getting rain! It's still pretty hot over here in LA.
ReplyDeleteI am here from Janice's blog. :-)
ReplyDeleteWe are heading into our rainy season here and I am glad. I live in B.C., Canada and there comes a point for most people living in the Pacific Northwest when we miss the rain! It is a part of our lives and I like it. I only get tired of it after about 9 months of straight rain.
So happy you received RAIN! And I can't agree with you more on Saturday's post!!!!
ReplyDeleteYay for rain!! And I've already seen a few of those leaves floating around here. Goodbye summer, hello fall!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful week :)

The rain is wonderful. Farmer's Almanac is predicting a cold Winter for the Great Lakes region. I wonder how the Autumn will develop. I will be happy to find out! Hugs.
ReplyDeletei just turned my word verification off, had no idea it was even on !! Looks like the gulf coast will get hammered with rain while the wild fires out west rage on,sad when you think about it ,
ReplyDeleteThe only thing worse than long and hot is longer and cold when winter comes along. We got spoiled with the mild winter last year but the years before were just awful...drought or no drought I don't want to get another horrible winter.
ReplyDeleteI see those red leaves and I think of fall - my favorite season. sandie
