Watch out…

there is a 90% chance of rain for central Illinois today!  I am waiting and watching but I see no sign of it yet .  I do see cloudy skies to the west of us.  We shall see.  It is 73 degrees and very humid out now.

Update!  I leave the computer for awhile and it is raining very nicely outdoors right now.  HOORAY!!

I believe it will be a few weeks before we have any visible signs of fall's arrival around here. Our high temperatures have been near 90 degrees for the past few days.:(

  18. Hi Beth. Thank you for visiting my blog and following!
I am glad you are getting some rain. We are so thankful for what we have received. Hotter temps are coming back by the end of this week, but Fall is around the corner. It will be nice but I don't want to rush it. Winter will follow and I am sure not ready for that!!

  20. I am here from Janice's blog. :-)

We are heading into our rainy season here and I am glad. I live in B.C., Canada and there comes a point for most people living in the Pacific Northwest when we miss the rain! It is a part of our lives and I like it. I only get tired of it after about 9 months of straight rain.

  25. The only thing worse than long and hot is longer and cold when winter comes along. We got spoiled with the mild winter last year but the years before were just awful...drought or no drought I don't want to get another horrible winter.
