Old Photos…

The day before we moved to Illinois from Missouri. I am the little girl in the front row in the striped shirt standing in front of my mother. Rae is being held by my Aunt Edna. Rae and I are the only ones still living.

Taken the day we moved from Missouri to Illinois.  I am the little girl with the striped shirt in the front row.  Four of my sisters and two of my brothers are in the picture.  Rae is the baby being held in her aunt’s arm and my youngest brother was born in Illinois.  Rae and I are the only ones still living in the picture.

  8. Way cool picture! Love those old pics---have two of my Mom and her brother when her family homesteaded in Canada back in the 1920's. In fact she was born in Canada (although still a US citizen. We need to preserve these photos for future generations! Thanks for sharing this one with us!

  9. Looking at your photo reminded me of my family. You and I are from the same era I'm sure. Love those old photos and we don't have any anymore. Our basement was flooded about 30 years ago and the photos stored in an army trunk got all wet. We tried to preserve them, but it didn't work. So I greatly admire the old photos of others.

  13. Such a treasure to have this picture. I follow Connie's Forgotten Old Photos blog. She always suggests making a copy of an old photo and writing the names on the individuals for future generations.

In regard to the comment that you left on my blog:
Dear Beth, I'll just bet that you don't realize just how very talented you are. Ask some of your loved ones . . . what talents you process and then believe them when they tell you . . . how very amazing you are :)
Our dear Lord creates beautifully . . . and He created you . . . beautiful, talented, and amazing :)
    Have a glorious day.
    Your blogging sister, Connie :)

  25. Sis..so nice that someone thought to take a photo the day you left there. Some had no access to a camera even. I still have mine of when our whole family moved from Tenn to Ca. My Mother was the only one who did not move with them. I love seeing the family togetherness. It is rare to have such wonderful memories of them. Hugs to you.. You are like family to us all and most cherished.. XOXO
