The day after…

Thanksgiving.  It is a bright sunshiny day with the temp hovering around 16 degrees.  My  son was here for Thanksgiving so that was nice.  I ate too much which I always do.  I am still coughing some and still have a sore throat but I do feel better.

I didn’t go to any Black Friday or Thanksgiving sales.  I hate fighting the crowds as it is not worth the effort.  I may do some online shopping later today when I get rested up a bit.

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Nana Diana’s grandson is very ill and continues to need our prayers.

Have a great weekend.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  1. The best way to spend your Thanksgiving, with family. Don't do the Black Friday thing either. Besides they say the way things are marked up before it you are not saving much anyway. Glad you're feeling better.

  3. Only did one black Friday sale in my whole life..on the way home the weather got nasty and we watched a truck flip into a ditch the roads were so bad.I decided it's not worth it..at all.. Ordered one or two things on line to be sent so I don't have to get out. Cold here today too, not good for us folks who are recovering. Blessings to you Sis.glad you are some better, prayers always. XOXO

  4. Not going shopping today---spending the day with older son, Sean, down in the CA desert! Glad you were able to enjoy Thanksgiving with family, in spite of your sore throat. Really LOVE your colorful blog page for the Christmas season!

  6. Beth, It's scary what Diana grandson must be going through...it's the not knowing that makes us crazy. I am praying for that little guy...and many others....we all can use a good prayer offered up . I did not go to sales either...no more for me. Hope you continue to improve and enjoy your weekend. xoxo,Susie

  7. No, I am not going out to shop today either. It's much nicer at home with the leftovers. Hope that your son will return to help you with that task. Sounds mighty cold over there!

  9. Keep on resting so you will be completely well soon. I wouldn't dream of mingling with the crowds just to shop!

  15. I'm with you on the Black Friday insanity. I'm writing a blog about it though the way it looks now I won't finish it tonight. I'm working on 3 hours sleep and I must retire in a bit.

  16. Lovely you had a good Thanksgiving.
Took me awhile to come to term with what Black Friday was up your way - down here it means many houses were burnt and lives lots a few years ago :)

  20. I also hate crowds and never go to those big after an event sales, you know like Christmas we have big Boxing Day sales here but there is no way I will go to the shops on Boxing Day as the crowd would drive me baty.................
