at least until noon when the predicted winter weather advisory is to occur. The winter advisory is calling for 3 – 6 inches of snow with a pretty decent wind. It is very sunny and 20 degrees right now so I am planning to take a run to Food Depot around 10 or so and buy me a Mega Millions ticket before the big snow comes.
$400 million! Friday's Mega Millions jackpot will be 2nd biggest in lottery's history
Remember my post a week or so about what I would do with the money if I ever won the lotto?? That still holds true.
Yesterday was a busy day for me. I woke up to –1 degree with a wind chill of 10 below. I had decided that no matter what if my car started I would keep my dental appointment, That went well. Then I went to the pharmacy to pick up some prescriptions and then on to Kroger where I purchased my Christmas spiral sliced ham along with way more stuff then I intended to buy. I still have a lot of Christmas shopping to do. Not sure when I will get that done as it is no fun shopping alone.
Next week I have an appointment with my ENT surgeon and the radiologist. I hope the weather holds true and I can keep that appointment. My friend Sally is going with me.
It is finally Friday and the 13th to boot. I have never thought much one way or the other about a Friday falling on the 13th. I believe in destiny and a master plan. I think that He has determined exactly when our end will come. So bring on Friday the 13th, I am ready for it.
Have a wonderful weekend. Stay safe and be happy!!
Beth
Ouch! You are way colder than we are. Tomorrow a "big" snowstorm is supposed to hit us with about 8" snow. I have my camera ready. Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteMy oldest daughter was born on Friday the 13th so it is a special day for me. Hope you can get everything you want to do, done before the snow arrives.
ReplyDeletebe careful out there beth, thats a lot of snow!! "stay safe and be happy"!! hehe
ReplyDeletewe're getting rain today but it is in the 40s so no freeze, thankfully.
ReplyDeleteNo slipping!!!! But enjoy the cozy indoors:)
ReplyDeleteOh that sounds really cold Beth, stay warm. Hope you mange your appointments. Hope you get all the things you need to do , sorted.
ReplyDeleteHugs Sheila x
Thank you my friend for the wonderful card. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteIt looks foggy here ready to encase us with ice. By afternoon we maybe in a snowglobe? Keep warm and keep on keeping on!
Hi Beth, isn't this winter frightfully cold. I can't remember a December quite this frigid before. Or, am I noticing it more because I'm older. Whatever the reason, I don't like it either. You and I are only about 200 miles apart or less, so we seem to get much of the same weather. I haven't posted on my blog yet- but hope to Sunday or Monday. Mario doesn't have a new post either - we've been busy with other stuff. Hugs
ReplyDeleteAnd, I thought 26 was cold....jeepers!!! You stay inside where it's warm and safe!!! (no wonder you can use the trunk of your car for a freezer....;-)
ReplyDeleteWe have a wintery mix on the way here tonight. Rain, sleet, and snow. I'm hoping for all snow. Easier to deal with than ice. I may be wearing my new rain pants tomorrow on my walk!! It's warmed up to 30 here today!!
ReplyDeleteWell that weather will be here on Sat. afternoon/evening. The temps aren't quite as cold here right now. The same amounts are predicted around here. There's shoveling in my future.
ReplyDeleteOh, goodness! It sounds like there is some bad weather on the way for you! I always seem to spend way more money than I plan before I get out of the grocery store.:-( Not through with Christmas shopping here, either. Stay warm and safe, Beth! xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteBeth, At least you have some food. We went to the store this week. We are getting that same storm ...oh how I was hoping it wouldn't snow again till Feb. LOL. It's been bitter cold here the past 4 days. Below normal. I hope to see the sun again in a day or two. You stay safe this weekend. I'll be thinking of you, as we will be staying in ...not getting out on the roads. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteLooks like the predicted snow has missed KC and is headed your way. Sorry bout that! I am staying in with a cold. Hope you get all your shopping done!
ReplyDeleteHope Friday the 13th turns lucky for you and you win the lotto! Have a good weekend and stay warm!
ReplyDeleteWow, you are a lot more colder. Sending warm blessings to you . Hope you win big and have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteIt is very cold here in Montreal...and supposed to get colder tonight! However, snow is on its way and that usually warms things up. Sending you a warm hug, dear Beth. Continuing prayers for you.
ReplyDeleteYou brave gal! Glad that the dental appt went well and that the car started. How empowering!
ReplyDeleteMy Granddaughter, Samantha, turned 13 today on Friday the thirteenth. I know that will never happen again. :) Our weather here in Washington got better today. Up in the high 40's and continual rain, night and day. Our daughter lives in Minneapolis and has had 5 or more straight days of sub zero weather, colder than Alaska. Well, you stay warm and well. Enjoy the beauty of this season. Bertie
ReplyDeleteI needed a light weight jacket today so I was happy. :)
ReplyDeleteI bought a ticket for the Mega Millions, I think it rolled over to about 550 million!
Stay warm, safe & happy!
Pleased all is going well.
ReplyDeleteI am not superstitious, so no big deal was Friday the 13th...
I expect you would know about the Lotto now...it's Sunday down here :)
I am tired of January weather! This snow and then subzero temps is difficult. Be safe!
ReplyDeleteI remember in your post about what you would do with the megamillions you said you were going to give me half...am I remembering that right???
ReplyDeleteI don't remember saying that Keith, but if I did, I always keep my word. :-)
DeleteOur temperatures have risen to the 40s if you can believe it. The snow looks horrible on the roads and it's even more dangerous to walk. Ironically after all this snow and cold we may end up with a brown Christmas after all.
ReplyDeleteI hope the snowstorm wasn't too bad and that you got your lotto ticket! Nice to have supplies and know you're okay to stay home in those storms. :)
ReplyDeleteI also hope the snowstorm wasn't that bad, I have never been in a snowstorm.
