Sunny Friday…

at least until noon when the predicted winter weather advisory is to occur.  The winter advisory is calling for 3 – 6 inches of snow with a pretty decent wind.  It is very sunny and 20 degrees right now so I am planning to take a run to Food Depot around 10 or so and buy me a Mega Millions ticket before the big snow comes.

$400 million! Friday's Mega Millions jackpot will be 2nd biggest in lottery's history

Remember my post a week or so about what I would do with the money if I ever won the lotto??  That still holds true.

Yesterday was a busy day for me.  I woke up to –1 degree with a wind chill of 10 below.  I had decided that no matter what if my car started I would keep my dental appointment,  That went well.  Then I went to the pharmacy to pick up some prescriptions and then on to Kroger where I purchased my Christmas spiral sliced ham along with way more stuff then I intended to buy.  I still have a lot of Christmas shopping to do.  Not sure when I will get that done as it is no fun shopping alone.

Next week I have an appointment with my ENT surgeon and the radiologist.  I hope the weather holds true and I can keep that appointment.  My friend Sally is going with me.

It is finally Friday and the 13th to boot.  I have never thought much one way or the other about a Friday falling on the 13th.  I believe in destiny and a master plan.  I think  that He has determined exactly when our end will come.  So bring on Friday the 13th, I am ready for it.

Have a wonderful weekend.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  8. Hi Beth, isn't this winter frightfully cold. I can't remember a December quite this frigid before. Or, am I noticing it more because I'm older. Whatever the reason, I don't like it either. You and I are only about 200 miles apart or less, so we seem to get much of the same weather. I haven't posted on my blog yet- but hope to Sunday or Monday. Mario doesn't have a new post either - we've been busy with other stuff. Hugs

  10. We have a wintery mix on the way here tonight. Rain, sleet, and snow. I'm hoping for all snow. Easier to deal with than ice. I may be wearing my new rain pants tomorrow on my walk!! It's warmed up to 30 here today!!

  11. Well that weather will be here on Sat. afternoon/evening. The temps aren't quite as cold here right now. The same amounts are predicted around here. There's shoveling in my future.

  12. Oh, goodness! It sounds like there is some bad weather on the way for you! I always seem to spend way more money than I plan before I get out of the grocery store.:-( Not through with Christmas shopping here, either. Stay warm and safe, Beth! xo Nellie

  13. Beth, At least you have some food. We went to the store this week. We are getting that same storm ...oh how I was hoping it wouldn't snow again till Feb. LOL. It's been bitter cold here the past 4 days. Below normal. I hope to see the sun again in a day or two. You stay safe this weekend. I'll be thinking of you, as we will be staying in ...not getting out on the roads. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  19. My Granddaughter, Samantha, turned 13 today on Friday the thirteenth. I know that will never happen again. :) Our weather here in Washington got better today. Up in the high 40's and continual rain, night and day. Our daughter lives in Minneapolis and has had 5 or more straight days of sub zero weather, colder than Alaska. Well, you stay warm and well. Enjoy the beauty of this season. Bertie

  24. Our temperatures have risen to the 40s if you can believe it. The snow looks horrible on the roads and it's even more dangerous to walk. Ironically after all this snow and cold we may end up with a brown Christmas after all.

  25. I hope the snowstorm wasn't too bad and that you got your lotto ticket! Nice to have supplies and know you're okay to stay home in those storms. :)
